“We were sad to hear of the passing of Martin McCormack in the early hours of Saturday morning 30^th September. Martin managed schoolboy teams in the club for many years back in the eighties and nineties and in subsequent years, Martin (along with his sons Gavin and Leo) were major sponsors of the club through their company Diesel. A real decent, friendly and popular man, Martin is fondly remembered by everyone in the club who knew him and the support he gave Portmarnock AFC will always be appreciated.  We extend our condolences to his family (Leo, Fiona, James, Dara and Gavin) and his partner Nuala, at this difficult time. We also remember at this time another friend of the club (and a close friend of the McCormack family), Timmy Healy who passed away recently. Another great character departed.

Martin’s funeral will take place at 10am in Portmarnock on Tuesday 3^rd October.”
