Best of Luck to the Under 18 Premier Lads
At 4:30pm this Saturday, Norman Whelan’s U18 Premier team play a cup final against Ratoath Harps at the NDSL Complex on Oscar Traynor road. They also require a point from their final league game away to bottom side Swords Celtic next Wednesday to win the Under 18 Premier league. To win either or both of these would be a great way for this group of lads to finish their schoolboy days with the club. For 7 of the squad, Adam Moran, Conor Ryan, Mark Devereux, Rory Walsh, Ross Waters, Stephen Mooney and Thomas Grumley it’s an extra achievement as they started out in the Nursery more than 10 years ago and have played every season since. Add in the fact the 4 of these, skipper Adam Moran, keeper Mark Devereux, Rory Walsh and Ross Waters have made a number of appearances with the senior second team.
In Norman’s words “It’s a club achievement and shows there is a path for others to follow. Whilst every player in the squad has contributed immensely in the time they have been with us I just thought the continuity through the sections for these lads was worthy of a mention”.
It certainly is Norman and great credit goes to you for being with them every step of the way. Best of luck for the Cup Final and League and to you also for the future and the free time you now have to fill!
