Great win for our U13 Major team on Saturday away to Collinstown. On a windy day, the lads had the advantage of the wind in the 1st half and led 3-2 at the break with goals from Dylan Colmer (3 in 2 games now), Conor Kanza and Danny Copeland (2 in 2 games).
We expected an onslaught in the 2nd half but the lads withstood anything thrown at them and extended their lead to 5-2 with goals from Fintan Ryan and a towering header from Karl Russell. Collinstown rallied to score a wind-assisted 3rd from distance but Portmarnock showed massive determination not to be beaten and could have scored a few more in the 2nd half.
