The Under 11 F1 team played their best game yet against Raheny United on Sunday 14th April. After a tough start, the boys turned things around after Matteo scored his first goal for Portmarnock AFC.
However the wind then blew in Raheny’s favour and the boys were faced with a tough run up to half time. After a great goal scored by Edward at the start of the second half, things were beginning to look up for the Portmarnock side as the lads placed pressure on the visitors from Raheny. The Porto side kept the pressure on and Edward was out infront again, placing a screamer with his left foot in the top corner.
The Portmarnock U11 F1 managed to hold off the away side after a nervy last ten minutes of the game and after a superb save from Henry in the second half, the home side finished strong, with a great performance from all of the lads.
