Portmarnock U14b1
Portmarnock U14b1 entertained Celbridge Town on a sunny Saturday afternoon up on Paddy's Hill, displaying a very strong performance to secure a 2: 0 win.
Portmarnock Dominated the game for most parts with Eoghan Leahy converting two of many chances created in the first half.
The second goal was particularly impressive as the ball was worked out from defence and a shot from outside the box gave the keeper no chance.
Portmarnock looked dangerous from set-pieces coming close to extending their lead on numerous occasions from corner kicks.
Portmarnock did have to weather the storm in the middle of the second half but defended solidly and showed great commitment to see out the result.
Good performance all round.
Portmarnock U15C2 Vs Dunboyne
After a slow start the boys really hit top gear in this one with 3 hat tricks. Striker partnership Jamie O'Hanlon & Adam Campbell accompanied by midfielder Sean Church. Great response to even out the goal difference from a hammering the week before !!
Great thing about football - there's always the next game.
Portmarnock U10 9 Raheny Utd 3
The U10 1a team put on a strong showing at home to a good Raheny Utd side on Sunday morning.
Having trailed 1-0 and 2-1, the hosts' Alex Ramage and Jamie Flynn helped turn the game around with some brilliant attacking play.
When Aaron Gahan put them 3-2 up, they never looked back. Mathew Goti, playing his own game of crossbar challenge, was ably assisted by the jinking runs of Sean Lowry and the lightning quick Mathew Reen.
On the few occasions Raheny got past the tenacious Kian Cronin, Liam Dwyer was on hand to make some sprawling saves.
Leo Kiernan's excellent long range effort sets the boys up nicely for Sunday's game at home to Cherry Orchard.
Portmarnock U16b2
Portmarnock took on Ashbourne on a very windy Sunday morning up on Paddy's Hill coming out on top of a 4-2 winning performance.
Lads responded really well from 2 recent defeats, with early goals from Ben (2), a spectacular long range effort from Matt that sailed over their keeper and an own goal.
Second half was tough mainly against wind which saw Ashbourne strike back, but strong defensive work from back four and midfield saw us through for deserving win.
Portmarnock Senior 1 Sunday
Portmarnock put on a powerful performance as they blew St John Bosco away last Sunday, winning 6-0 at Paddy’s Hill.
It was their first meeting in Senior 1 Sunday having both been promoted from 1A Sunday last season where they couldn’t be separated in their two previous encounters, drawing both games 1-1 and 2-2.
However a fine individual performance from Davey Sheppard helped Portmarnock stroll to the full three points as the former Galway United striker hit four of the best.
Also getting their names on the score-sheet was Graham Rusk and Ross Moran as the Seasiders climbed above Home Farm into first place of the LSL second tier.
Portmarnock 3rd Senior team
Portmarnock earned a tough away win to Orchard Celtic out in Cherry Orchard Park Saturday afternoon. Two goals from Donal Mc Donagh, helped him enjoy his birthday celebrations, along with a third goal from Luke O’Toole saw Portmarnock grind out the 3:0 win.
